A Message to our Community
On behalf of Leadership Niagara, its Board of Directors and community of volunteers I want to assure you we are doing our part to flatten the curve and help stem the spread of COVID-19. Last week we cancelled our planned March 27th Binational Learning Day as the public health crisis began to evolve. In line with the precautions of other businesses and groups, we have suspended all in-person workshops until it is safe to resume. We will be monitoring the situation and public health guidelines as this unprecedented crisis continues to unfold.
In keeping with our commitment to the current cohort of leaders in our Accelerate Civic Leadership Program, we are working with our team of expert volunteer facilitators to determine the best course of action as we build contingencies for alternate delivery of our remaining two months. We will continue to engage and assess next steps with our participants, employer supporters and community partner agencies over the coming weeks.
We understand the level of stress and anxiety are high during this time but we want to remind you that it's in times of strain and pressure that the bonds that bind our community together find it's strength. We encourage you to let the compassion and caring we know our community possess manifest as we look to ensure the safety and wellbeing of not only ourselves but our elderly, neighbours, friends and the vulnerable among us.
Please take care of yourself and each other. Together we will come out of this stronger and united.
